Minutes of Annual Parish Meeting 23rd April 2015

These were approved as a true and correct record

Councillor Bell – Report on the County Council

There was no report provided

Councillors Bone & Hallam – Report on the Borough Council

There was no report provided.

Councillor Cole – Report on the Parish Council

There is still a vacancy for a councillor. The phone box has been purchased, and will soon be refurbished. The trees on the green have undergone an assessment and the work is authorised to be carried out shortly. Thanks were given to Councillor Morris for putting up and taking down the speed sign. There are now Christmas lights around the green.

PCSO Bowes – Report on the Police

5 of the garages were broken into last month and there was a burglary in Pytchley Road. Crime is very low in the village. The Police are very understaffed and there will be no speed camera in the foreseeable future.

Reports from the Organisations :

Nigel Cole – Fete Group

Last year’s fete was very successful with a good turnout despite the weather. £2900 was raised with the village hall receiving £800, the Church £2000 and £100 to the Parish Council towards the cost of the Christmas lights.

Andy Gosling – Drama Group

The group is looking to put on a production in November, possibly for 3 nights.

Andy Gosling – OUCH

Held a successful celebration of the anniversary of Waterloo, and a conker competion in October, won by a village resident, Vanessa Simpson, so far no summer event is organised, but the conker completion will be held in October.
