About Orlingbury

Orlingbury may be small – about 180 households – but it is a friendly and sociable village with a variety of regular activities and events.  For those of you coming to live here, we sincerely hope that you will soon settle in, enjoy living here and feel that you want to join in village life.  Regular annual events are :

  • a bi-annual Orlingbury Istedford (sic)
  • a village fete in June of each year
  • an Open Gardens event
  • a Scarecrow competition in September
  • an Art Exhibition in October
  • OUCH! (the Orlingbury Unofficial Conker Happening)
  • our village drama group’s production in November
  • a Christmas Bazaar in late November
  • a Village Hall event in December
  • Christmas Midnight Mass at St. Mary’s Church on Christmas Eve
  • the Orlingbury Golf Society Christmas Medal at Wellingborough Golf Club

There are also plenty of active groups within the village :

  • The Orlingbury Golf Society
  • The O3 Ladies Group
  • Orlingbury Brownies
  • Orlingbury & Isham Short Mat Bowls

as well as many other locally organised clubs and “happenings”.
