Welcome to the Orlingbury website
Orlingbury is a small village mid-way between Kettering and Wellingborough – just off the A43 that runs from Northampton to Kettering. It may be small village, but it’s friendly and sociable with a variety of regular activities and events.
Regular annual events include a village fete in June, an Open Gardens event and Scarecrows Competition in September, our village Drama Group’s production (usually in March), a Christmas Bazaar, a village hall event close to Christmas, Christmas Midnight Communion in St. Mary’s Church on Christmas Eve, as well as many other locally organised “happenings”.
7th May 2015 sees the United Kingdom go to the polls for a variety of elections. One of those is to elect Councillors to the Orlingbury Parish Council. Full details can be found here.
The Annual Parish Meeting will take place on April 9th. More details on this page.
STOP PRESS….. New Waste Collection Timetable & Christmas Collection Dates
You can download a PDF version of the Wellingborough Borough Council Waste Collection Dates leaflet.
This includes the revised dates for collections over the Christmas and New Year period.
STOP PRESS….. The village now has a Defibrillator
The Parish Council has provided funding to purchase a defibrillator – a great piece of kit that can save the life of someone who has gone into cardiac arrest.
We are now looking for around 10 volunteers to be trained on how to use the equipment safely. It will be a 2 hour course. If you’re interested then contact any Parish Councillor.
